MEMBER GROUPS
[/justify]the following are the different member groups that we will be using on the site to help distinguish the characters from one another. they fit into only one, for most people, but if you are having any sort of issue figure out where to put your character, please feel free to contact a member of staff and we will be more than happy to assist you.
town youth
any of the kids who aren't really old enough to attend high school or don't have that sort of educational opportunity belong to this category. they are generally younger, though they can be as old as eighteen before they are classed as adults and therefore become residents of the town.
high schooler
usually about thirteen to eighteen years of age depending on where their birthday falls and if they have managed to pass all of their grades up until this point, these are the kids who are currently getting an education but haven't quite reached that age where they know what they want to do with the rest of their lives.
college student
generally anywhere between eighteen and twenty-three years of age, they are the ones who come and go so that they can go to school during the year in a nearby college, or just happen to be the ones who don't quite get there because of money troubles.
resident
residents tend to be the adults who have lived in westfield for their entire lives and show no signs of leaving anytime soon whether it's because they are comfortable where they are or simply because they're too afraid to move.
returning
these are the characters who were once members of the westfield community but left at some point in their lives and are not returning to the town. they can be of almost any age, and depending on the circumstances of their arrival back in the town, might end up fitting into another category.
drifter
these are the characters who don't really have a place to call home, but find themselves in westfield and unsure of why they feel a connection to this place. they are sometimes searching for their purpose in life, trying to figure out who they are, and almost always end up coming back here numerous times before they become residents.
